Its Hard to Choose

One of the characteristics of modern life, of the experience of living in our world in this age, is the staggering and, surprisingly, mind numbing number of choices and alternatives that plague almost every decision that we can possibly decide to make. Take the decision of taking up a new language for instance: will you study on your own? will you enroll in a language course? will you take a regular course or an intensive one? will you go for the better but expensive institute or the cheaper but less adequate one? will you study close to your home or will you go abroad for an immersive language course? If you go abroad, where to? England or the United States? If you go to England do you go for the most convenient English course Cambridge has to offer? Or are perhaps those English courses in Oxford the best option for spending your hard earned money?

Choices that seem liberating can also be paralyzing. With so many choices our expectations rocket to the roof and we think that, of course, there is such a thing as the perfect choice for us. Since there is the perfect choice to be made, we are the only ones to blame if we choose poorly.

Making a choice is hard.

But Cornwall is the Perfect Choice

Apparently it is not so hard for thousands upon thousands of happy tourist that make Cornwall their top holiday destination again and again. Also known as Kernow, Cornwall is a Duchy located in the South Western extreme of the United Kingdom that includes the Isles of Scilly. This land is perchance one of the most isolated parts of the UK but it is also terribly popular with travellers from all around the world.

What is it that turns on the magnet for Cornwall? There are many reasons for why this hidden corner of the big island is such a precious holiday spot. A warm and comfortable climate, the long and varied coastline, some breathtaking scenery and the alluring Celtic heritage are just some of the attractive features of the peninsula. Also a deciding factor is that there are always fun activities that are suited to both couples and whole families. Going from romantic walks on a moon bathed beach, to a family barbecue looking over a beautiful landscape, it's tempting to say that there is a little spot for everyone at Cornwall.

In the recent years, the duchy has become a very popular destination for those looking for cultural tourism because of its well known association with visual and written arts. One of the biggest crowd pullers, however, doesn't have to do with the arts but with science. The Eden Project, is a large environmental complex that houses a fabulous collection of flora from all over the planet. The attraction consists of two large futuristic transparent domes (called biomes) that run on the most impressive technology one could think about. Conceived in 1994 by Tim Smit, this fantastic piece of human achievement has become a major attraction for tourists.

Great accommodation, lovely vistas, fun activities, peace, quiet... what more can you possibly ask for?! Enjoy the little wonder of Cornwall and don't miss out on a fantastic journey.
